Chelsea will welcome Brentford to Stamford Bridge in a West London derby on Saturday afternoon (12:30), and using Betfred’s #PickYourPunt feature, we’ve picked out an 11/2 treble for the occasion.
Chelsea to win
The Blues will be kicking themselves that they let a two-goal lead slip against Arsenal last weekend, however, they have improved considerably from that dismal start to the season, and they will go into this game with the Bees hoping to kick on.
Chelsea have now gone three games unbeaten, and looked to have turned a corner under Mauricio Pochettino, while Brentford’s 3-0 win over Burnley last week was their first since August.
Thomas Frank’s side are actually unbeaten against Chelsea in their last three outings, winning this exact fixture in April of last season 2-0 and 4-1 the season before, also in April, in 2022.
However it feels like Chelsea are in a different place coming into this encounter, so I think they can take the three points here.
Both teams to score
Both teams have found the back of the net in Chelsea’s last two matches, and excluding the 3-0 win over Burnley, BTTS has landed in Brentford’s previous three Premier League outings.
It’s fair to say that neither side are renowned for their watertight defences, so I think there’s a good chance that both teams can find the net on Saturday.
Mykhailo Mudryk to score anytime
I’m finishing this #PickYourPunt off with a goalscorer selection, and I’ve gone for Mykhailo Mudryk.
The Ukrainian managed to get his second goal of the season against Arsenal, meaning he’s now netted in his previous two outings for club and country.
The 22-year-old has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League since his big-money move to Stamford Bridge, but it feels like Pochettino has finally found a role for the former Shakhtar Donetsk man.
