League Two returns for another week of action and unlike the Premier League and Championship, they don’t have to suffer through the international break next weekend. To celebrate, we’ve put together a tasty treble for you to consider.

Wrexham to beat Tranmere Rovers

Media darlings Wrexham may have only won one game so far this season, and they were dumped out of the Carabao Cup on penalties in midweek, but there is reason to be optimistic here. They are set to spend £300k on Brandon Hanlan from Wycombe and have found goals easy to come by this season. 

Added to this, Tranmere have lost their last three matches and sit below them in the table. Ian Dawes wasn’t popular at the time of his appointment, and given the results the mood hasn’t improved around Prenton Park. All signs point to this being an away win. 

Notts County to beat Accrington Stanley

An obvious pick, but one that should come in. Notts County have won back to back games and scored five goals in the process. David McGoldrick is finding his shooting boots in League Two and Luke Williams’ side have climbed up to fourth. 

The only issue comes as they face John Coleman’s Accrington, who have started the season superbly. They are up in third, having impressively beaten Salford away last time out. However, their direct style will be a complete contrast to Notts County’s possession game, and with the quality on show, the home side can get over the line. 

MK Dons to beat Crewe Alexandra 

MK Dons are looking like a fantastic League Two outfit. They’ve now won three games on the bounce in all competitions, Graham Alexander has got them playing well and they have a whole load of talent in their squad, including Mo Eisa, who has scored four in five games. They certainly should be able to beat Crewe away from home. 

Crewe are winless in three in all competitions and needed a 94th minute equaliser to rescue a point against Walsall in their last home match. Lee Bell knows his side will face a tough test and it is likely they will come away empty-handed from this one, against one of the league’s best.
