Day 2 of the York Ebor meeting is fast approaching and Betfred Ambassador Frankie Foster is back with his each-way Lucky 15 across the first four races on the card. A 50p bet (total stake £15) would pay out £1,820.65 as of the time of publication…
13:50 – Beautiful Diamond was 2nd to relief rally at Royal Ascot and hasn’t been seen since, this speedy Karl Burke trained filly will come here fresher than the favourite and is a healthier price. I will be having a safe EW bet on her!
14:25 – Persica is of most interest here both with Richard Hannons great record in this race and an eye catching performance at Salisbury. Persica was disappointing on debut but given they decided to come back and win in style just three days later, so there is clearly talent there.
15:00 – Ryan Moore teams up with Sonny Liston again after a close 2nd at the Royal meeting and I think If Sonny Liston runs to that same Ascot form off of just a 2lb higher mark can win this. He had excuses last time out and with a clear passage today should go well.
15:35 – I am contradicting myself slightly here because I prefer to side with classy horses at York over those that get into a battle but for me Savethelastsdance is just the best horse in the race. I think everyone is getting carried away saying she can only race on soft, she was second in the Betfred Oaks on Good Firm and that is good enough for me!
